Website for hair salons and barbers
Tell it about your salon — what you do, what it costs, who works there — and createforme builds the website in a few minutes: a price list with the duration and price of every service, booking by day and time, photos of your work, your team and gift vouchers. Someone opening it on their phone at 11pm can book without calling you the next day.
Salone Nora
A sample website for a hair salon in Turin, Italy. Here’s what’s inside:
- A price list in three tabs with duration and price: services are added with one tap
- Booking in three steps, with the total and taken slots crossed out
- A wall of recent work that opens full screen
- A gift voucher that builds itself as you choose the amount and name
Names, photos and reviews in the example are made up. See it as it is (opens in a new tab).
What a hair salon’s website needs
Prices and times, openly
“How much is a balayage?” is the question that arrives most often on WhatsApp. A price list with price and duration — and a note if long hair costs more — answers it before anyone asks.
Booking when the salon is closed
Plenty of people think about a haircut in the evening, when the salon is closed. Booking with the free slots collects those requests instead of losing them.
Photos of real work
The colour, the cut, the before and after: photos of your work are your portfolio. Well chosen and kept fresh, they make people pick you over the salon next door.
Who cuts your hair
Clients get attached to a person, not just a salon. A team section with each stylist’s speciality helps them book with the right one.
Gift vouchers
At Christmas and for birthdays a voucher is money in advance and a new client. Putting it on the site makes it easy to find and to give.
Ready to use, nothing to install
What to know before you publish
Reviews: only real ones
Fake reviews are now explicitly banned: in the UK under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, in the US under the FTC’s rule on consumer reviews. The safest are the ones copied from Google, with the name as it appears there.
Clients’ photos
Before you publish a photo of a cut or colour where the person can be recognised, get their consent — ideally in writing, even just a message. Photos from behind, or of the hair only, are the simplest to use.
Online prices and salon prices
Prices on the site must be the ones you charge: if they change, update the site the same day. A lower price online is a promise the client will ask you to keep.
This is general information, not legal advice: for your situation, ask a professional or your regulator.
How it works, in three steps
- Describe your business in the box above, typing or out loud, the way you would to a customer.
- Watch the site take shape in a few minutes, and edit it by clicking on what you want to change: text, photos, colours.
- Publish when it’s ready, with a paid plan: you can create and preview your first site for free.
Questions
Does booking connect to my diary?
No: the request with services, day and time arrives in your inbox and you confirm it. If you already use a booking app, the site can have a button that takes people there.
Can I change the price list myself?
Yes: click on the price and rewrite it, or ask for the change in words. Text and price edits made this way don’t cost credits.
Can I sell gift vouchers online?
Yes, with PayPal or your own Stripe payment link: the money goes to you. You then send the voucher to the client.
How much does it cost?
You can create and preview your first site for free. To publish it you need a plan: with Starter, €22.90 a month, the site lives at an address like yoursalon.createforme.io. Your own domain is included in the Agency plan.
