In the US many cities — New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles among them — require registration, and often the permit number in every advert. Check the rules of your council or city before you publish.
Taxes shown next to the price
If an occupancy tax or visitor levy applies — common in US cities and states, and now in Edinburgh too — say so next to the price: guests pay it, and finding out on arrival is an unwelcome surprise.
Guest data
People writing to you through the site leave their name, contact details and dates: in the UK you need a privacy notice under the UK GDPR, and the form should ask only for what you need to reply.
